Make it stand out
Arte LUMIS has been selected for the 2026 LUX RED Readers’ Choice Awards, with two sculptural light works—Dancing Cobra and Burning Crescent—featured in this year’s competition.
Presented by LUX Interiors + Design, the RED Awards spotlight outstanding work across architecture, interiors, and design-forward craft. Being included in the Readers’ Choice selection places Arte LUMIS among a curated group of studios and makers recognized for originality, material intelligence, and contribution to contemporary design.
The Featured Works
Dancing Cobra
Carved from a single, character-rich olive branch, Dancing Cobra explores tension and movement through light. The piece balances organic asymmetry with deliberate illumination, allowing shadow and glow to interact as equal design elements. It is a study in restraint—where light reveals the form rather than overwhelming it.
Burning Crescent
Both works reflect Arte LUMIS’ ongoing investigation into light as a sculptural medium—where material, form, and illumination are developed in dialogue rather than hierarchy.
Industry Recognition
The LUX RED Readers’ Choice Awards provide a platform for industry peers, clients, and the broader design community to engage directly with the work. Inclusion in the 2026 selection represents meaningful third-party recognition of Arte LUMIS’ approach to light art and functional sculpture.
Readers’ Choice voting is now open through January 23, 2026.

This milestone marks a significant moment in the young journey of Arte LUMIS, a Round Rock-based studio where Dragitsch sculpts light into living art. Each piece begins as reclaimed Texas wood - shaped, cored, and illuminated by hand - merging natural form with modern design. The two Arte LUMIS works chosen for TFMS represent the studio’s signature philosophy: Where Wood Meets Light. Visitors to the show will experience how organic materials and precision lighting come together to create bold, one-of-a-kind pieces that blur the line between sculpture and functional illumination.
The works selected for exhibition are Columna LUX and Discus LUX, two handcrafted light sculptures that exemplify the Arte LUMIS vision. Columna LUX rises from a reclaimed Texas cedar log - its natural cracks, voids, and curves preserved and illuminated from within by a concealed LED light fixture. Discus LUX transforms a massive cross-section cut, or “cookie” of a central Texas pecan log into a striking circular form suspended on a brushed stainless steel base. Each piece is finished by hand with natural oils, revealing the intricate grain and texture of the wood while casting a warm, sculptural glow. Together, they celebrate the dialogue between raw nature and refined craftsmanship that defines Arte LUMIS.
The Texas Furniture Markers Show will be on view from October 30th through December 12, 2025 at the Kerr Arts & Cultural Center in Kerrville, Texas. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the craftsmanship and innovation of makers from all accross the great state of Texas - including the illuminated works of Arte LUMIS.
