Dancing Cobra
Sculptural light work carved from a single reclaimed olive wood log.
Work Description
Dancing Cobra is a sculptural light work carved from a single piece of reclaimed olive wood, shaped through a process that responds to the material rather than imposing a predetermined form. The work retains the density, irregularity, and visual tension characteristic of historic olive wood, allowing natural movement in the grain to define the final silhouette.
Light is integrated selectively to articulate depth and curvature, clarifying the relationship between mass and void while preserving the integrity of the material. The result is a one-of-a-kind piece that functions as both illumination and spatial object.
Each Arte LUMIS piece is one-of-a-kind.
